The Quest for BEC in Cu2O .
Because of the long lifetime of excitons in cuprous oxide many workers have attempted to find, and have in some cases have reported, BEC in this material. After reviewing the basic physics of exicitons we will go on and discuss various problems one encounters in trying to achieve BEC.
